Tailift StaySafe, Fleet Assess’ perimeter protection system, has officially been added to the Road Haulage Association’s product portfolio. The partnership highlights the role of simple, practical safety solutions in reducing risks during tail-lift operations, one of the haulage industry’s most persistent hazards.
Tail-lift work is a routine part of logistics, but it carries real dangers. Drivers balancing pallets at height, stepping backwards off platforms, or securing doors at the roadside face risks that can lead to injuries, damaged goods, and costly downtime. Tailift Stay Safe provides an immediate solution.
The system is permanently attached, quick to deploy from ground level, and creates side and rear barriers around the tail-lift platform. This protects both drivers and bystanders, reducing the likelihood of falls or dropped loads without slowing down operations. It can be retrofitted to rigid vehicles and trailers with barn doors in under an hour, and deployment takes less than 15 seconds. By freeing up to 350mm of platform space compared with fixed guardrails, it maintains operational efficiency while improving safety.
